but… not really.
Yesterday PopPop Dick, MomMom Cindi and MomMom Cindy all came to St. Andrew’s School to watch Alex’s preschool moving up/graduation ceremony. It was such a great event.
The older kids came out in caps and gowns, and all the kids sang some songs while Dave DeSalvo (he performed our wedding ceremony) played the guitar.

I don’t know why, but I like the blurriness of this next picture.

Then the kids all processed one at a time across a little bridge in the middle of stage. They hugged their teachers and prepared for moving up to their new classroom. Alex, uh, he wasn’t so happy to have to walk across the bridge. He did it, but no too happily.
Kind of. See, Alex will be staying in the same classroom next year. He’ll be in the one year old classroom again… because well, he doesn’t turn one until January. Makes sense, doesn’t it?
Enjoy one of Alex’s special days.
p.s. I realized when the little ones (who weren’t even mine) came out in their caps and gowns and I got choked up, that I am going to be A MESS when it’s Alex “graduating” from preschool. I’m choked up just typing about it. *sigh*
p.p.s. Thank you PopPop for the photos and video.
p.p.p.s. (is this right?) Thank you PopPop and MomMom Cindi(y)s for coming to my big day.

In his defense, all of the others in that class were backstage crying and he didn’t want to feel left out of the party. One started it (not Alex), and it just went down the line from there. But he did great when he got out on stage! Yeah Alex!!!
